Unbolted Flour – Unsifted flour; not having the bran or coarse part of the flour separated out
Ungulate – A mammal with hooves.
Unmentionables – A 19th century euphemism for underwear. Also called “Inexpressibles.”
Under the weather – Sick; not well. “Jake’s under the weather; he’s got a case of the sniffles.”
Unshuck – To remove from a case, as in unholstering a gun. “I didn’t want to, but I unshucked my carcass from my sugan,” (I got out of my bedroll).
Upscuddle – A heated argument or quarrel.
Upper Skirt – See “Flank Skirt.”
